HEY, WAX BESTIE! đ Iâm Q, the owner of The Bare Hive Wax Studio in Midlothian, Virginia. Iâve worked in the beauty industry since 2006, including experience as a wax specialist, trainer and manager. I created The Bare Hive for real bodies, real skin and real people. This is a plus-size-friendly, judgment-free space where all bodies and gender identities are welcome. First wax? Feeling nervous? For your first Brazilian with me, or if youâre returning after an extended break, book âNew Wax Besties â Start Here.â Your appointment includes consultation, a complete Brazilian wax, personalized aftercare guidance and an aftercare kit. Returning-client bundles and Wax Wednesday are reserved for returning Wax Besties. Unsure what to book? Contact me before scheduling so we reserve the right service and enough time. BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT DO: ⢠Allow your hair to grow before your appointmentâavoid a last-minute shave or trim. ⢠Arrive clean and wear loose, comfortable clothing. ⢠Tell me about medications, retinoids, skin sensitivities or recent skin treatments before we begin. ⢠Let me know if you need positioning adjustments, extra explanation or a quiet appointment. DONâT: ⢠Arrive in tight jeans or clothing that will rub against freshly waxed skin. ⢠Assume an irritated or damaged area can be waxedâcontact me first with concerns. ⢠Book an add-on by itself. Add-ons must accompany an eligible waxing service. ⢠Feel embarrassed about your body or your hair. You never need to apologize for either here. Please follow the preparation and aftercare guidance provided for your specific service. If youâre unsure about anything, ask your Wax Bestie. RUNNING LATE? Please call or text 804-393-0154 as soon as you know youâre running behind. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may need to reschedule so every Wax Bestie receives their appointment time. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING Please give at least 24 hoursâ notice when canceling or rescheduling. Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hoursâ notice incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled service total. No-shows are also charged 50%. Repeated late cancellations may require prepayment for future appointments. WAX WEDNESDAY $50 Brazilian waxes are available on Wednesdays only for returning Wax Besties. Butt strip included. Limited to two reschedules. AFTER YOUR WAX Youâll receive guidance on caring for your freshly waxed skin, when to begin exfoliating and how to use your aftercare products. Follow your service-specific instructions and reach out with questions. Your appointment time is reserved especially for you, Wax Bestie. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING Please give at least 24 hoursâ notice when canceling or rescheduling. Changes made with less than 24 hoursâ notice incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled service total. NO-SHOWS Missed appointments without notice incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled service total. LATE ARRIVALS Please call or text 804-393-0154 if youâre running behind. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you may need to reschedule.
